Hello!

To start off, remember that supplementary angles are angles that add up to 180 degrees. Therefore, we know the sum of these two angles will be 180 degrees.

So, we must add the two angles together, then set it equal to 180 and solve for x!

(X)+(17x+72)=180

Now, solve for x!

18x+72=180

Subtract 72 from each side

18x= 108

Divide by 18 to get x

X=6

Therefore, the measure of the first angle (x) is 6 degrees.

Now, substitute that number into the “x” in the second angle.

(17*6)+72= 174 degrees

Therefore:

The first angle is 6 degrees

The second angle is 174 degrees

I hope this helped! Comment if you have any questions!
