Answer:

p=-(1)/(9)

Explanation:

(2p+1)/(5p+6)=(1)/(7)

Use cross products,

7(2p+1)=1(5p+6)

Distribute,

14p + 7 = 5p + 6

Inverse operations,

$14p+7=5p+6\\-5p\\\\9p + 7 = 6\\-7\\\\9p = -1\\/9\\\\p = -(1)/(9)$
