A farmer collects 8 bushels of apples. Each bushel contains 126 apples. If she sells 2 and 1/2 bushels to a local store, how many apples does she have left?

693 apples

Explanation:

126 x 8 = 1,008

1,008 - 126 (1 bushel) = 882

1,008 - 126 (another bushel) = 756

126/2 = 63

756 - 63 (1/2 bushel) = 693
