Answer:

y=-x-2

Explanation:

Since we know two points on the graph (2,-4) and (0,-2) we can find the slope because slope= change in y over change in x. By doing so, we can see that the slope is -1. We know that y=mx+b and m is slope and b is y-intercept so we have all the variables needed. y=-1x-2 or y=-x-2.

Answer:

y = -x-2

Explanation:

The slope intercept form of a line is

y = mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

y = mx-2

Using the point (2, -4)

-4= m(2) -2

Add 2 to each side

-4+2 = 2m-2+2

-2 =2m

Divide by 2

-2/2 = 2m/2

-1 =m

y = -1x -2

y = -x-2
