this shape is a kite and opposite angles (where sides of different lengths meet) are congruent

so ∡B = ∡D

109 + 109 + 5x + 14 + 3x + 8 = 360

218 + 8x + 22 = 360

8x = 120

x = 15

m∡A = 5(15) + 14 = 89°

m∡C = 3(15) + 8 = 53°
