The text states that approximately 33,500 Japanese Americans chose to enter the military and fight for the United States during World War II. Many of these citizens would have been relocated to an internment camp otherwise. Why do you think so many of them chose to serve? Many Japanese chose to serve the U.S. in World War II because they felt it was a way to repay them. Japanese Americans were at one time imigrints coming into the United States with little supplies and a dream or two.
