For the parallel one the gradient will stay the same, so you just need to work out the y-intercept

3=(-12)-6+c

3=12+c

c=-9

equation for parallel line y=-6x-9

Then for perpendicular the gradient is the reciprocal

so you substitute again

3=1/6(-2)+c

3=-1/3+c

c=10/3

the equation for perpendicular is y=1/6x+10/3
