Given:

The mathematical sentences in the given options.

To find:

Which of the Mathematical sentences below is/are equations?

Solution:

Equation: An equation is a mathematical sentence which contains two expressions and an equals sign "=".

Inequality: An inequality is a mathematical sentence which contains two expressions and an inequality sign ">, <, ≤, ≥".

From the given options it is clear that the options (i) and (ii) contains equals sign "=". So, (i) and (ii) are equations.

The options (iii) and (iv) contains inequality sign ">" and "<" respectively. So, (iii) and (iv) are inequalities.

Therefore, the correct options are (i) and (ii).
