Answer:

x = -2

y = 2

Explanation:

3x - 4y = -14 ----------------(I)

3x + 2y = -2 -------------(II)

Multiply equation (II) by (-1) and then add. Now, x will be eliminated and you can find the value of y

(I)*(-1) -3x + 4y = 14

(II) 3x + 2y = -2 {Now, add}

6y = 12

y = 12/6

y = 2

Plugin y = 2 in equation (I)

3x - 4*2 = -14 {Add 8 to both sides}

3x - 8 = -14

3x = - 14 + 8

3x = -6 {Divide both sides by 3}

x = -6/3

x = -2
