for the first shop we divide the price which is 5.77 by 9 to get the price of a single can.

5.77 divide by 9 makes 0.64111111111...

the question say to round it to the nearest penny so the price for won can in the first shop is 64p

we do the same for the second shop which is.

4.13 decide 6 makes 0.688333333...

so the price/value for a single can is 69p since we round it up to nearest penny.

the first shop give better value since each can is 5pennys shorter than the second shop.
