Hey can anyone help me check if this is right pls?: 7th grade Algebra Percent Models: "John's dad is willing to pay for 30% of the cost of his first vehicle. If John plans to buy a car for $7,499, how much does John contribute to the cost of the vehicle? Round to the nearest cent."

well, his dad is paying 30% of the vehicle, so John will end up paying the rest, 100% - 30% = 70%.
