Answer:

length = 47 inches , width = 20 cm

Explanation:

the perimeter (P) of a rectangle is calculated as

P = 2(length + width)

let the width be w the length is 7 more than double the width , 2w + 7

given P = 134 inches

substitute these values into the formula for P

134 = 2(2w + 7 + w) ← divide both sides by 2

67 = 2w + 7 + w

67 = 3w + 7 ( subtract 7 from both sides )

60 = 3w ( divide both sides by 3 )

20 = w

and length = 2w + 7 = 2(20) + 7 = 40 + 7 = 47

dimensions are , length = 47 inches and width = 20 inches
