A car is slowing to a stop from an initial velocity of 18 m/s. if it takes the car 4 s to stop, what is its rate of acceleration?

acceleration = -4.5m/s^2

initial velocity= 18 m/s^2

final velocity = 0m/s^2 (slowing to a stop)

acceleration

= change in velocity / time taken

=(0-18)÷4

= -4.5m/s^2
