Answer:

y = 2x + 3

Explanation:

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

given slope m = 2 , then

y = 2x + c ← is the partial equation

to find c , substitute the point (- 1, 1 ) into the partial equation

1 = 2(- 1) + c = - 2 + c ( add 2 to both sides )

3 = c

y = 2x + 3 ← equation of line
