I suppose you are looking for the value of 'k'

if 3/2 is a zero, then putting in ' 3/2' for x will make the equation = 0

2 (3/2)^2 + 3/2 k -12 = 0 solve for 'k'

18/4 + 3/2 k = 12

3/2 k = (12 - 18/4)

k = (12- 18/4) / (3/2) = 5
