The bearing of the cliff to island is 32⁰.

How the bearing was calculated.

Bearing is the direction of one point in relation to another, measured in degrees clockwise from the north direction.

From the information

Let x represents 33km

let y represents 52km

θ is acute angle line from cliff to island and line from cliff to eastern direction.

Tanθ = opposite/adjacent

Tanθ = 52/33

= 1.5757

θ = arctan(1.5757)

θ = 57.6⁰

= 58⁰

Bearing of the cliff to island is

90 - θ

90 - 58

= 32⁰

Therefore, bearing of the cliff to island is 32⁰.
