Answer: Import enslaved people and indentured servants.

Step-by-step explanation:

Farming tobacco was a very labor intensive undertaking as a lot of things went into the farming. Colonists in Virginia therefore needed a lot of labor to do so. They started off with indentured servants, most of whom would sign contracts to work for 7 years.

As time went on, the colonists began to import enslaved people as well as they found them to be better options who they could work for life. They imported so many enslaved people that when the international slave trade was abolished, Virginia became a headquarters for the domestic trade.
