What is x pls help me-4x+3x=2

I can’t tell if that’s a -4 or a positive 4 but if it’s a positive then:
7x= 2
7x/7= 2/7
X= 2/7
And if it’s a negative 4 then
-x=2
-x/1= 2/-1
X= -2
