Answer:

The Catcher in the Rye

Author:

My Literary Element: Character

My Poetic Form: Free Verse

Caught between childhood and adulthood,

A boy named Holden Caulfield stands out.

A troubled soul, he's too wise for his age,

He's determined to find his own way.

Searching for meaning in a world that's phony,

He speaks his mind and thinks he's alone.

His journey leads him on a winding road,

One that's filled with angst and unknowns.

A misfit, he's judged and misunderstood.

He longs to be the catcher in the rye.

To protect the innocence of those around,

And keep them from an adult-like fate.

Eventually, he learns to accept himself,

For who he is and all he's been through.

A coming-of-age story, with a twist of fate,

The Catcher in the Rye is a tale of truth.
