Answer:

log(x) + log(x + 99) = 2

log(x² + 99x) = 2

x² + 99x = 100

x² + 99x - 100 = 0

(x - 1)(x + 100) = 0

x = 1 (x = -100 does not work)

A. The solution set is {1}.
