Answer:

The value of x that satisfies the condition is x = $10.625

Explanation:

Given:

A company manufactures and sells two types of products, A and B.

Revenue from selling product A = 5x - 2

Revenue from selling product A = 3x + 4

The total revenue from both products = $87

To Find :
Value of "x"

We know that If a company has two products A and B then,

Revenue from Product A + Revenue from Product B = Total Revenue

By replacing the values of Revenue from Product A , B and Total Revenue in the general formula we get,

(5x - 2) + (3x + 4) = $87

5x + 3x - 2 + 4 = $87

8x + 2 = $87

8x = $85

x = $
(85)/(8)

x = $10.625

Hence the value of x = $10.625
