I'm on a final and I Need help asap. A coin is tossed and a die is rolled. What is the probability that the coin shows heads and the die shows an odd number.

Explanation:

A die has 6 sides, 3 of which are even. Any given time you roll a die, there is a 3 in 6, or 1 in 2 chance of rolling an odd number.

A coin has 2 sides, so it is a 1 in 2 chance that the coin toss will land on heads.

Combining probabilities, these two 1/2 chances happening at once

1/2 * 1/2 = 1/4

There is a 1 in 4 chance the coin shows heads and the die rolls an odd number.
