y = 15 , x = 6

Explanation:

you can easily find y from first equation

Move y to the other side of the equation and reverse its sign

so (-11) changes to (+11) and now we have this equation

y = 15

now you must replace 15 instead of y in second equation ,then we have this equation

15 = 2x + 3

now we have to find x

move (+3) to other side of equation and reverse its sign

(+3) changes to (-3)

we have this equation now

15 - 3 = 2x

12 = 2x

x = 12 ÷ 2 = 6
