Note that the above table are just minimum requirements. Many high schools require more than the minimum number of years in each subject area, and many selective colleges recommend or require additional years of math, science, and world language.

So, It is also important to note that these are just general requirements. Some high schools and colleges may have specific requirements for certain subjects, such as AP or honors courses.
