The current equation is in what's called the gradient-intercept form:

y = mx + c

We know this because

  • the degree of the polynomial is 1 (there is no _^2 or any number above the x )
  • the y is alone on one side

Now to explain what m and c are from the equation:

-m is the slope of the equation. As you can see from looking at the two equations, m is −6

c is the y-intercept of the line. As you can see from looking at the two equations, c is +5

Therefore point of interception is (0,5) because those are the coordinates of where it hits the y-axis
