Answer:

x=3

y=0

Explanation:

To solve this equation you use subistitution method for solve x and y in x^2+y^2=9 and x+y=3

x+y=3

x=3-y ... solving x interms of y and you will substitute in this eq. x^2+y^2=9

x^2+y^2=9

(3-y)^2 + y^2 = 9

y^2 - 6y + 9 +y^2 =9 ... you will squere 3-y

2y^2 + 6y = 0 ... simplify

1/2(2y^2 + 6y = 0 ) ... multiple both side by 1/2 to get

y^2 unit 1

y^2 + 3y = 0 ... y is 0

Y=0

and we are going to solve x

x+y=3

x+0=3

X=3
