\huge\begin{array}{ccc}V=904.32cm^3\end{array}

Volume of a sphere.

V=(4)/(3)\pi R^3

V - volume

\pi - constant (this is an irrational number - π = 3.14159265359...)

R - radius of a sphere

SOLUTION:

We have the diameter:

D=12cm

We know:

D=2R\to 2R=12cm\to \boxed{R=6cm}

Substitute:

V=(4)/(3)\pi\cdot6^3=(4)/(3)\pi\cdot216=(4\cdot216:3)/(3:3)\pi=4\cdot72\pi=288\pi(cm^3)

Use
\pi\approx3.14:

V\approx288\cdot3.14cm^3=904.32cm^3
