Rectangle ABCD is graphed in the coordinate plane. The following are the vertices of the rectangle: A(-2, 1),B(3,1), C (3,4) D(-2,4). What is the perimeter of rectangle ABCD?

To find the distance, we take 3 - -2 = 5 units

So the width of the rectangle is 5 units.

We can do the same thing to find the height of the rectangle using B and C.

They have the same x-coordinates, so the distance between them will be the difference in the y-coordinates.

4 - 1 = 3, so the height of the rectangle is 3.
