(x+4)²-2

Explanation:

The lowest point of the curve is -2 at x=(-4)

=> The vertex of the upwards facing parabola is (-4,-2)

So, the vertex has shifted from (0,0) (vertex of x²) to (-4, -2)

Using function transformation (translation),

f(x) = (x+4)²-2
