The farmworkers secured the right to union representation, cold drinking water in the fields, rest intervals, grievance processes, pesticide controls, hiring halls, and bathrooms. They also gained respect from the growers as well as their dignity. The growers were successful in getting their goods back on the market and gained back their workforce of men who were originally striking (along with some happier workers).
