Answer:
Dear Editor,
I am writing to express my concern about the increasing rate of indiscipline in schools. This has become a major problem, affecting the learning environment and overall academic performance of students.
Firstly, some students lack proper guidance and discipline at home. Parents should be responsible for instilling good behavior in their children. However, some parents have neglected this responsibility, and their children tend to carry this undisciplined behavior into the classroom.
Secondly, some students face academic pressure, leading them to resort to cheating and using other methods to improve their grades. Instead of pressuring children on their performance we should instead encourage good behaviour which can be reflected in classrooms.
Lastly, social media has contributed to the increase in indiscipline in students. Social Media even though it is not all harmful it can be used in malicious ways to negatively target pupils in school and outside of school.
To curb this trend, schools should enforce stricter disciplinary policies. Parents should also take a more active role in disciplining their children at home. Additionally, teachers should be encouraged to support their students’ character development and continue to encourage respect among all students.
