On a coordinate plane, a triangle has points F (3, 4), D (5, negative 3), and E (1, negative 2).

What are the coordinates of the image of vertex D after a reflection across the x-axis?

Answer:

(5, 3)

Explanation:

Since we are reflecting by the x-axis, the x-cooridnate would stay the same.

Vertex D is 3 units dow from the x-axis. By reflecting in using the x=0 reference, the y-coordinate would be a positivo 3 now.
