Answer:

(A) It is not a valid conclusion to say that baseball is more popular than soccer because of the students asked. The students surveyed at the poll were attending a BASEBALL championship. They were either watching or playing, so it would unintentionally create a bias in the poll results.

(B) A much better way is to ask a large enough number of students that vary about this subject. You could also make a joint frequency table, which shows the grades and the sport they prefer.

Hopefully this helped! :D

(A) It is not a valid conclusion to say that baseball is more popular than soccer at the school because the poll was conducted only among the students who attended the baseball championship. This means that the sample size was not representative of the entire student body, and it is likely that there were students who preferred soccer but did not attend the baseball championship or participate in the poll. Therefore, the poll results may not accurately reflect the opinions of the entire student population.

(B) A better method of determining which sport is more popular would be to conduct a survey or poll among a representative sample of the entire student population, rather than just those who attended the baseball championship. The sample should be randomly selected and large enough to provide a statistically significant result. Additionally, the survey should be designed to minimize bias and ensure that the questions are clear and easy to understand. This approach would provide a more accurate and reliable estimate of the relative popularity of baseball and soccer at the school
