Can anyone help me solve this? I think I’ve done something wrong. Ignore the doodle marks that weren’t erased properly, by the way.

Answer:

The answer for

x=3/4

y=3/2

Explanation:

let bigger number be x

let the smaller number be y

x+y=3¾

x+y=15/4

x=15/4-y

x+1/2=2/3y

x+1/2=2y/3

15/4-y=2y/3

C.LT.

-y-2y/3= -15/4

-3y-2y/3= -15/4

-5y/3= -15/4

-5y×4=3×-15

-20y= -45

divide both sides by-20

-20y/-20= -45/-20

y=9/4

x+y=15/4

x=15/4-y

x=15/4-9/4

x=6/4

x=3/2
