So, my first language isn't English and though I am very fluent in it, I still sometimes have a bit of trouble with words..

I have an assignment and one of the questions says:
Mark the statements in paragraphs 5-6 that imply a general principle.

What is a general principle in English? No matter how I word it in Googl, I can't find the answer that I need besides law definitions. Please help :'v

Answer: Here you go thank you

Step-by-step explanation:

General principle of law or general legal principle refers to a principle that is recognized in all kinds of legal relations, regardless of the legal system to which it belongs. It can also be a principle that is widely recognized by people whose legal order has attained a certain level of sophistication.

General principles of law are legal norms existing among the majority of nations. Enduring examples of general principles of law, typically followed in most jurisdictions, are the doctrines of good faith, estoppel, and equity.

Answer: A general principle means- a basic idea or rule that explains or controls how something happens

Explanation: This would mean like what is happening/ what is controlling or doing everything and what is the basic idea of the text.

(I'm so sorry if I'm wrong but I'm 98% sure I'm right)
