The areas of two circles are 92 2 and 62 2

respectively. Find the radius of the circle
having its area equal to the sum of the areas of the two circles.

Answer:

formula for area of a circle = πr²

πr² = 92cm² first circle

πr² = 62cm² second circle

now to find the radius of a circle having the sum of the other circle.

πr² = 92 + 62

3.142 × r² = 154

r² = 154/3.142

r² = 49.013

take square root of both sides

r = √49.013

r = 7.000cm ≈ 7cm
