The answer is -3.
It is basically asking what 1/4 of -12 is.
1/4 is equal to .25.
So .25 x -12= -3 which is your answer.

Answer:

-3

Explanation:

When multiplying a positive number with a negative number, the product will always be negative. First, let's solve the problem disregarding the negative sign.

  • (1)/(4) * 12

  • (12)/(4)

  • 3

Now that we know the product of 1/4 x 12 is 3, we can assume that the product of 1/4 x -12 is -3.
