When Elie Wiesel says “action is the only remedy to indifference the most insidious danger of all” he means that problems can only be solved if someone takes action. He says that action can end indifference, which means including a group of people based on race or on skin color. He says that indifference is a danger because if one person judges a group of people based on race; it will cause harm to those people verbally or physically. This connects to the purpose of the memoir because he talks about the Holocaust and how the Nazis discrimination against Jews. He is saying that the Holocaust could have been prevented if people took action to stop the Nazis from discriminating against Jews.
