Answer: The first circle is 78.5 in squared and the circumference is 10 inches. The second circle is 254.5 km squared and the circumference is 18 km.

Explanation:

the area for a circle = πr²

the circumference of a circle = 2r

First circle:

π5²

5*5=25

25pi inches squared

25pi= 78.53

= 78.5 inches squared

the circumference is already given (10 inches)

second circle:

π9²km

81π km²

81π=254.46 km²

=254.5 km²
