How to determine the graph

The graph can be determined easily by plotting the equations and comparing the resultant graph with the graphs in the options

Alternatively, we can use experience of inequality to detect the graph.

Some good points to note are

The lines will be solid lines as the inequality are non-strict

When the equation is in slope intercept form:

  • less than means shading below the line
  • greater than means shading above the line

The equation shows that the shading will both be below the line and this is shown in the attached graph.
