The value of x and y are 28 and 32 respectively

Given the equations

3/4(x – 12) = 12

Multiply both sides by 4/3

3/4(x – 12) * (4/3) = 12 * 4/3

x - 12 = 12 * 4/3

x - 12 = 16

x = 16 + 12

x = 28

For the equation

3/4y - 12 = 12

3/4y = 24

3y = 24 * 4

y = 32

Hence the value of x and y are 28 and 32 respectively

Complete question

Two equations are shown:

• Equation 1: 3/4(x – 12) = 12

• Equation 2: 3/4y - 12 = 12
