The Perimeter of the room is 10 units

The shape of a regular room is rectangular; The Perimeter of a rectangle is calculated as :

  • Perimeter = 2(length + width)

3/(x - 6) + 2/(x + 4) = 3(x+4) + 2(x + 6) /(x + 6)(x + 4)

cancel out (x - 6) and (x + 4)

3/(x - 6) + 2/(x + 4) = 5

Multiply by 2 to obtain the Perimeter:

  • 2 × 5 = 10

Hence, The Perimeter of the room is 10 units
