a^(2)+ b^2 = c^2

With Pythagorean Theorem, c is the longest length in the triangle... So, if c = a squared plus b squared, then it is a right triangle! If c is less, it is acute, and finally, if C is more than the two - then it is obtuse!

8^(2) +6^2 ? 12^2\\64 + 36 ? 144\\100 < 144

This is an OBTUSE triangle, since c adds up to be more than a and b.
