since the triangles are similar then the ratios of corresponding sides are in proportion , that is


(JL)/(AC) =
(JK)/(AB) ( substitute values )


(JL)/(2.5) =
(10.5)/(3.5) ( cross- multiply )

3.5 × JL = 2.5 × 10.5 = 26.25 ( divide both sides by 3.5 )

JL = 7.5
