Answer:
Dear Future grandchild,
When I was a kid I used to be a bit selfish and self centered but I have never stopped caring about my brother Raymond. He had mental disabilities and I made sure he would never get bullied under any circumstances. I remember I was thinking of giving up my career as a runner to solely coach Raymond and take responsibility for him because I already had a room full of trophies and ribbons and Raymond had nothing. I started changing attention from myself to my brother as I already heard my name announced as champion. I was already focusing on Raymond’s future. Although Raymond wasn’t actually in the race this was really his run. When I realized winning isn’t everything I see Gretchen as a person that also works hard to achieve her aspirations. I look at her thinking that perhaps she would be the type of person to help coach Raymond. At the beginning of all of this I was completely focused on myself, I wanted to be the fastest runner and beat my rival Gretchen in the May day race. I also wanted to be the winner of the spelling bee however slowly I felt more compassionate and caring towards my peers. I developed confidence and strength that I haven't had before, Meanwhile I became more loving and caring for Raymond.
