Answer:

y = (3/2)x - 8 slope-intercept form

3x - 2y = 16 standard form

Explanation:

Use the point-slope form of a line to do this problem.

y - y_(1) = m(x - x_(1) )\\

In your case
(x_(1) , y_(1) ) = (8, 4)

So. y - 4 = 3/2 ( x - 8)

multiply thru by 2

2y - 8 = 3(x - 8)

2y - 8 = 3x - 24

2y = 3x - 16

y = (3/2)x - 8 slope-intercept form

3x - 2y = 16 standard form
