Answer:

x% × 500,000 = 100,000

(500,000÷100) × x = 100,000

5,000 × x = 100,000

5,000x = 100,000

D.B.S by 5,000 to make x the subject

5,000x÷5,000 = 100,000÷5,000

x=20.

The percentage decrease is therefore = 20%
