Bee Movie came out in theatres in 2007. The movie portrayed a small bee that could talk and wanted to become a pollinator bee. Once he graduated college, he decided that he did not like his current job at Honex Industries. He then left the hive and traveled to New York City. There he met a human woman and fell in love with her. Her name was Vanessa and she was a florist. What a coinkidink. He then discovers that honey is being sold at grocery stores so he decides he wants to sue the honey companies for bees to have the exclusive rights to honey production. He won the lawsuit by proving that they way harvest bees were treated was unfair. This caused bees to stop pollinating flowers and eventually all the flowers in the world were dying. First example of this is a male bees role in the hive. In the movie it is shown that all bees work, both males and females. While this may seem like the perfect world, only female bees do any work in the real world. Male bees are only in the hives to mate with a Queen bee. In other words, they are normal boring males. They also do not have a stinger, so the part in the movie where a male stings a human is incorrect. A stinger, in real life, is also considered part of the female reproductive organs. So why would males have these in the movies? Probably to make them look tougher. Let’s face it though, girls are the tougher bees. Also, when it comes to the physical appearance of these bees, they can not talk or wear human clothing. That would just be silly. Bees also have compound eyes and six legs. The movie shows normal human eyes and only four legs. The last time i saw a bee they also did not have teeth or thumbs. I feel like the features that they do have help them to survive better in their environment and surrounds. Okay, time to stop picking apart a kids movie right?
