We are here given that a line having a slope of 2/3 passes through the point (-9,8) . We need to find out the equation of the line in
Ax +By = C form .

For finding the equation of the line we may use point slope form of the line as ,

Point slope form:-

\longrightarrow y - y_1=m(x-x_1)

Substitute the respective values,

\longrightarrow y -8 = (2)/(3)(x-(-9))\\

\longrightarrow 3(y-8)=2(x+9)\\

\longrightarrow 3y -24=2x+18\\

\longrightarrow 2x -3y = -24-18\\

\longrightarrow \underline{\underline{ 2x -3y = -42}}

with ,

  • A = 2

  • B = -3

  • c =-42

and we are done!
