Like charge is fundamental property of matter which exist in both negative and positive aspect and help us to understand the electro-magnetism ,in the same ways would mass be negative ? In that scenario gravity could be repulsive too?

Final answer:

In physics, electric charges come in positive and negative varieties, with like charges repelling and unlike charges attracting. However, mass is always positive and gravity always attracts; the idea of negative mass and repulsive gravity remains speculative.

Step-by-step explanation:

In physics, the concept of charges—positive and negative—is well-established. Positive charge is associated with atomic nuclei, while negative charge is associated with electrons.

Like charges repel each other and unlike charges attract, characterized by an inverse square law relationship as per Coulomb's law.

While electric charge can be conserved and quantified with two types, mass in physics, as currently understood, is always positive, and gravity is always an attractive force. Speculative theories suggest the possibility of negative mass and repulsive gravity, but these are not part of established physics and have not been observed in the natural world.
